November Random pictures

The week of Thanksgiving we decided since nobody planned on coming to our house, that we could get out the Christmas stuff. So we decorated and decided with little Theodore that we couldn't put too much "fragile" stuff up.

Anyways - one day we caught Shelby starring at the bookcase. After a while we noticed that Theodore must have thrown his little reindeer up on the shelf and Shelby was trying to tell us.

Another random thing that happened in November was we got new bikes (we had to leave our old ones in Oregon since there was no room in the moving truck) Well up in Oregon I would ride Charlene and her little boyfriend Landon all over the place. In the meantime, Charlene somehow got afraid of the bike Trailer. After 2 days, and many hours of trying to convience her that it is alright (and Theodore was fine with it), what we ended up doing was: I got on the bike, Joshua held Charlene in the air, and as I rode by slowly, He threw her into the trailer so she couldn't escape. LOL Funniest thing alive!!! Anyways - once she was in, she was happy...just had to death grip the side of the trailer...which she still does. ha ha But she is now happy to get in now after that first experience. We now go on bike rides every day, and ride to a new park in the neighborhood. :)

Another thing was that Shelby has been SUPER cuddly. One Sunday Joshua walked in to her cuddling with me on the couch. He said it was funny since she was tucked in and her little paws were hanging over the blanket so he captured these two pictures.

Theodore also discovered the back yard (more so rock yard) so every time Shelby would go out, he would do his "super" crawl to get to the back and now during the day we open up the back blinds so he can watch her outside.

Another food discovery is this new brussel sprout recipe. Looks kind of questionable in the picture, but man...it is soooo good!!!

Recipe:
3 tablespoons of butter
8 strips of bacon
1/3 cup minced onion
about 10 sprouts cut in half.

Directions: melt butter and brown onions. add the sprouts face down. In meantime cook bacon in seperate pan. Cook the sprouts and continue stiring (approx. 20 minutes) once cooked and a little golden brown, cut your bacon over and cook for 5 more minutes.
